Picnic, Swimming Hole, City Street Scene...
This layout packs a lot of feature into a relatively
small space. The trestle
allows the train to move freely throughout the area and town, while also allowing cars to travel
underneath.
In the middle of the layout, there is a water tower
to fill the steam engines.
Under the tracks, in the middle, there is a reservoir where
folks like to swim, fish and boat. Though, don't get
caught in the water or fishing without a license.
Stop by sometime, have lunch at the picnic tables,
or watch the kids swimming or the freight car being unloaded. Just like real life!
There is a spur right in the middle
with a switch or turn out to allow a train
to stop and stay or allow the wood hauling
freigh car to its load of wood tree trunks. This siding
can also be used to park a single
engine and tender for use next time
you run the trains.
Throughout our layout, we have
operating lights, an operating radar tower
and many hard workers!!
